Mark Chipman, chairman of True North Sports and Entertainment, announced Tuesday that the company has purchased the Atlanta Thrashers and will move the team to the Manitoba capital."

"Bettman was asked what would happen if the team can't reach its target. He said he wouldn't speculate, but suggested the deal hangs on healthy ticket sales.
"It doesn't work if this building isn't full every night."
