Codey Burki (born November 17, 1987 in Winnipeg, Manitoba) is a Canadian professional ice hockey center who is currently playing for HC Lugano, of the Swiss National League A.
Playing career
Burki was selected 59th overall in the second round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Colorado Avalanche from the Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL. After spending five years in the WHL, Burki signed with the Avalanche to a three-year entry level contract on May 8, 2007.
Burki made his professional debut in the 2007–08 season, splitting time between Avalanche affiliate's, the Lake Erie Monsters and the Johnstown Chiefs of the ECHL. Burki started the 2008–09 season with the Chiefs but after 14 games was recalled to the injury-hit Monsters for the remainder of the season, where he played in 54 games scoring 19 points.
Codey was scoreless in 8 games with Lake Erie to start the 2009–10 season before he was re-assigned to ECHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers, on November 14, 2009.Codey played 15 games with the Checkers before suffering a season ending concussion.
Prior to the 2010–11 season, Burki left North America as a free agent and signed a one-year contract in Switzerland with the HC Lugano on August 29, 2010. Unable to earn a position with Lugano, Burki was loaned to NLB club, HC Sierre. After one appearance with Sierre, he was then re-assigned on loan to HC Thurgau on December 17, 2010. Burki scored 12 points in 14 games with Thurgau before he was again moved on loan to SC Langenthal on January 27, 2011. Burki's season was then prematurely ended after he suffered an injury before suiting up for Langenthal.

Questo è sicuramente un'ottimo rinforzo
il canadese prossimo alla cittadinanza svizzera non lo conosco
ma sono sicuro che saprà farsi valere, la speranza e che in quanto canadese
possa valere qualcosa di più (a livello di prestazioni sul ghiaccio) rispetto ad un giocatore svizzero di medio livello!!
diciamo che adesso sono pronto a digerire l'operazione Fritche-SERVETTE (anche se cmq le reputo più forte del nostro, se non altro più conosciuto..)
mi lascia ben sperare un centro canadese prestante fisicamente e prossimo alla cittadinanza!!

ma sembra buono codey burki. draftato al secondo giro con il 57 non è per niente male. Fritsche ha il vantaggio di aver giocato in NHL. poi che vada al servette è ancora tutto aperto. Intanto Burki è nostro. Nessuno ne parlava ed è un ottimo colpo. Domenica arriva. Ha tempo per allenarsi e conoscere i nuovi compagni. Nel frattempo se Clymer rimane fuori Burki puo' giocare.
Non lo conosco ma sono fiducioso anche per questo nuovo acquisto.
Finora mi sembra che si sia scelta una linea e si prosegua sulla stessa e me ne compiaccio.
